& Sustainability

We believe in giving back to nature as much as we take.

Our functional botanicals, roots, and mushrooms are always organic and regenerative whenever possible, ensuring that our products are not only good for you but also for the planet.

Our Ingredients

REGENERATIVE TEA

Our regenerative tea is sourced from a single garden in Northern Bangladesh where they use regenerative farming practices to grow the tea leaves. This approach to farming goes beyond sustainability and aims to actively restore and improve the soil, biodiversity, and overall health of the ecosystem.

REGENERATIVE SUGAR

Our sugar is produced using crops that are grown in a regenerative manner, which means they are grown using methods that restore and improve the health of the soil, reduce carbon emissions, and promote biodiversity. These crops are grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

ASHWAGANDHA

At Rowdy Mermaid, we use KSM-66 ashwaghanda, which is made from the roots of the ashwagandha plant. This type of ashwaghanda is carefully processed to extract the active compounds and contains a high concentration of withanolides, which are the bioactive compounds that give ashwagandha its health-promoting properties.

REISHI MUSHROOM

We use GRAS-certified (generally recognized as safe) Reishi mushroom beta-glucans to help support immunit health. These beta-glucans are a type of fiber found in Reishi mushrooms and have been proven in published studies (link to studies) to help stimulate the immune systems in healthy adults.

LION’S MANE MUSHROOM

We use GRAS-certified (generally recognized as safe) Lion’s Mane mushroom beta-glucans to help support cognitive function. These beta-glucans are a type of fiber found in Lion's Mane mushrooms and have been proven in published studies (link to studies) to enhance cognition in healthy adults.

HERBS & BOTANICALS

We source organic and sustainable herbs and botanicals in our products. Sustainable sourcing involves practices that minimize negative impacts on the environment. This includes reducing the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, conserving water resources, promoting biodiversity, and protecting natural habitats.

Environmental Impact

WASTE REDUCTION

Implementing recycling programs, using compostable or biodegradable materials, and minimizing food waste in production (composting and donating to local farms).

SUSTAINABLE SOURCING

We source our ingredients from sustainable and regenerative agriculture practices to promote soil health, reduce water use, and protect biodiversity.

TRANSPORTATION & LOGISTICS

We optimize our transportation and logistics systems to reduce emissions, including using more efficient transportation methods and reducing the distance traveled.

EFFICIENT PACKAGING

Lightweight and recyclable packaging materials like cans that are produced using sustainable materials and practices. They can also minimize packaging waste and reduce unnecessary packaging.
